Chuck (チャック, Chakku) is one of the deuteragonists of Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt who made his debut in "Excretion Without Honor and Humanity".
He is Panty and Stocking's pet sidekick who acts as the girls' messenger as he receives slips of paper from Heaven that dictates hints for the girls' missions.
Appearance
In his Zipper form, Chuck resembles a green dog with zippers for ears and a tail. In his hellhound form, Chuck is much more larger and menacing, having sharper teeth and two horns on his head.
For the season two redesign, Chuck is seen to have much more vivid colors, with a brighter and bluer green for the base of his body and head. His zippers are more of a muted gray, shaded purple instead of dark gray.
Personality
Chuck usually behaves like a very stupid dog. He is only able to say his own name (and, in "Les Diaboliques", the word "fuck"). He seems to be somewhat of a pervert, as he can be seen touching himself and humping random people at times.
Despite his lack of intelligence, he's shown to have some compassion towards other people, such as Brief, whom he partners up with at times. He's also shown to have some empathy, especially when he accidentally "kills" Fastener in "Chuck to the Future 2".
He also always helps the Anarchy Sisters out despite being their main punching bag.

Description
Taken from NewPSG.com:
"The pet (?) kept by the Panty and Stocking sisters. It's hard to figure out what it's thinking. It often gets awful treatment from the angel sisters. It is said that its true form is revealed by unzipping it..."
Chuck is subjected to numerous injuries throughout the series, but is usually able to recover extremely quickly. Particularly, Panty, Stocking, and Garterbelt abuse him without even breaking the pace of their current situation, and often do it to release their frustrations with the knowledge that nothing will affect him.
Aside from being a convenient punching bag, he is also mainly used as a mail box of sorts by the rulers of Heaven, who strike him down with lightning, resulting in him spitting out a clue to a Ghost's whereabouts. In addition, he is capable of driving the Anarchy sisters' car, a convertible pink Hummer H1 called See Through.
In "Chuck to the Future", it is revealed that Chuck attended a university with the Daemon sisters' pet Fastener. Chuck was one of, if not the, most unpopular students in the university. His low social standing is what influenced the popular cheerleader to reject him. It is unknown if these events occurred before or after Panty and Stocking claimed him as their pet, and no other information has been shown about his life before said event.
The inside of Chuck's brain has been inhabited by a small demon in a black suit who can enter and exit his home through the zippers on Chuck's head; it is possible that this demon controls Chuck's brain. Chuck only became aware of the demon's inhabitance within his brain in "Chuck to the Future Part 3", causing him to freak out and knock himself unconscious.
Abilities
Natural Abilities
- Hellhound transformation - By turning himself inside-out with his zippers, he can transform into a colossal horned hellhound. In this form he can still regenerate from infinite amounts of abuse and fire giant fire-blasts powerful enough to take out the powered-up form of his counterpart Fastener.
- Shapeshifting - He can also transform himself into a giant zipper that can seal Hell's Gate.
Skillset
- Driving - He and the Anarchy Sisters alternate on driving their car, See Through.
- Bass guitar-playing - As a member of PSG., and as shown in the season two outro, Chuck can play the guitar.
- Harp-playing - He is shown playing the harp during the montage in "HELP! We are Angels".
- Digging - As a dog-like creature, he is adept at digging holes and through the ground.
Unique Abilities
- Enhanced durability and healing - Chuck is impervious to physical harm. He has been stomped on, strangled, ran over, burned, cut, roasted with fire, and even liquefied by other characters, yet he always manages to come back within a matter of seconds. This also applies to his true form where even after being diced into countless small cubes, he reformed almost instantly.
- Flight - As shown in "Being Chuck Maldehole", he can use his tail zipper as a propeller to fly.

Trivia
Chuck's prototype design.
- Chuck's "zipped" design is a parody of GIR, a character from the Nickelodeon series Invader Zim.
- The creator of the series, Jhonen Vasquez, even commented on the characters' similarities, saying: "It's nice seeing [GIR] get some work, but I gotta say it's a bit on the simple side for my tastes, what with the fart and shit jokes, but the ending is pretty ridiculous, and Gainax produces some of the only Japanese animation I can stand without wishing I was the drinking type, so I'm looking forward to more".[2]
